The harmless treatment of leachate from garbage is a recognized environmental challenge in the industry. During the 12th Five Year Plan period, China will add 580000 tons of garbage treatment capacity, and with the addition of leachate treatment facilities for existing landfill and incineration plants, the market capacity for harmless treatment of leachate will exceed 10 billion yuan per year. At the same time, China's requirements for the discharge of leachate from garbage are also very strict. If it is directly discharged in non sensitive areas, the "Pollution Control Standards for Landfill of Domestic Waste" should be implemented. In addition, some heavy metal indicators also need to meet the corresponding discharge standards.

Leachate from garbage is an organic wastewater formed during the process of sanitary landfill, which is difficult to directly degrade. It has the characteristics of high chromaticity, high concentration and complex types of organic matter, and high content of ammonia nitrogen and heavy metals. At present, the commonly used treatment method for leachate from garbage is biological method. Biological method is a relatively mature and reliable method in sewage treatment technology. However, with the increase of landfill age, the BOD5/COD ratio in the leachate is low, and the effluent treated by biological process alone cannot meet the discharge standards. Usually, biological method is combined with other methods to treat leachate.

Membrane separation technology is a highly efficient separation method in modern separation technology. As a new type of sewage treatment technology specifically designed for the treatment of leachate from garbage, DTRO membrane is mainly composed of disc type membrane, guide plate, O-ring rubber gasket, center pull rod, shell, two end flanges, various sealing components and connecting bolts. The surface of the guide plate has protrusions arranged in a certain way, which create turbulence in the leachate under high pressure, increasing the permeation rate and self-cleaning function. The DTRO leachate equipment adopts DTRO membrane technology, which can operate continuously, has a high degree of mechanization, is easy to manage, and the instability of water quality has a small impact on the effectiveness of membrane treatment.

The advantages of using DTRO garbage leachate equipment for garbage leachate treatment are:

1. Not prone to scaling and pollution

The DTRO membrane adopts an open flow channel design, with a wide effective flow channel for the feed liquid, avoiding physical blockage. The feed liquid forms a turbulent state during the filtration process, reducing the occurrence of membrane surface scaling, pollution, and concentration polarization phenomena.

2. Low cost of DTRO membrane replacement

Any individual component inside the DTRO component is allowed to be replaced separately. The filtering part is assembled from multiple DTRO membranes and guide plates. When the DTRO membranes need to be replaced, they can be replaced individually, reducing the cost of replacing the DTRO membranes.

Leachate from garbage can cause serious pollution to groundwater and the surrounding environment of landfills, leading to surface water hypoxia, deterioration of water quality, eutrophication, and destruction of groundwater quality, resulting in the loss of its utilization value and posing a serious threat to drinking water and industrial and agricultural water sources. It has become a common concern in various sectors of society.
